I’m not perfect. I do have other obligations. I can’t, like anyone, ALWAYS come through on my promises. I’m going to cut the crap right here and say it: I did not finish a book this week. Some very important things came up, and I did not have the ability to read very much. Whoops.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. I didn’t finish The Shining on time, either. I have a lot of things on my mind aside from this little project; my personal life has to have the front seat. That’s just how it’s gonna go. I’ve decided not to stress it too much. I WILL finish 52 books this year. The last book WILL be done by December 31, 2014. I’m just not sure if I can churn out weekly posts. At the moment, I am extremely focused on college preparation and “living up” my final year of high school, with friends that I may not see again until God knows when. Wavering on a goal is not something I’m particularly proud of, but at least until I graduate in May, waver I will and waver I must. My reading pace will definitely pick up in the summer when I no longer have school, so if we’re that far off-track by then, we’ll begin to head back in the right direction.
I’d also like to take this time to inform you all that my first short story will be published on Amazon by the end of the month. I’m spending my entire Presidents’ Day writing, which means editing, and hopefully by the end of the day I’ll have something that I feel is worthy to publish. I’ll make it free for 24 hours, then then price will go up to $1. Keep in mind that this is a tentative plan…stuff can still go wrong.
I know this short little post isn’t a review, but it’s going to have to suffice for this week. I apologize, and I’ll book it (hehe) next week to catch up.
